How to Get Rid of Moulds
Here are some advantages of routine carpet cleaning that you should think about before taking on the task of eliminating mold on your own:
1: Wear the appropriate coveralls, goggles, and facemask when attempting to remove the mold on your own. Mold can enter your body through your breathing or through pores in your skin.
2: To prevent the mold from spreading to other parts of the building, make sure you keep the doors of the specified room closed while treating the mold. You can leave the windows in the carpeted room open to allow for adequate ventilation.
- If you are able to remove the carpets from their current location, do so and lay them outside in the sun for one to two days. Additionally, you can use a fan or a humidifier to dry the carpets if they are immovable.
- After the carpets have dried, use a brush with string bristles to remove the dried-up mold material from both the top and bottom of the carpet.
- After removing the mold material from the carpet, spray it with an anti-mold solution and allow it to dry. The directions on the spray bottle can be followed. Two sprays of the solution should be applied to the carpets’ top and bottom surfaces.
- Lastly, scrape the remaining mold debris from the carpet over the course of the next two days using a dehumidifier.
